Lucinda and Daddy made a batch of brownies tonight. It was her first time to taste the Ghirardelli brownie recipe. She liked it a lot. The recipe calls for nuts or chocolate chips as an option. Lucinda opted for the chocolate chips. The recipe can be found at www.recipezaar.com/51404?path

Lucinda visited with Grandma and Grandpa Tarantino today. They went to the park and played around the house.

Lucinda asked to go to the beach today, so Mommy took her down to Long Beach. She played on the sand, they had lunch on the beach, and she brought home a small collection of shells.

Daddy took Lucinda to the Eaton Canyon Natural Area (www.ecnca.org) park today. They poked around the streams flowing down the canyon, looked at the exhibits in the visitor center, walked a couple of nature trails, and climbed some trees. Then it started raining and they had to come home.

We took Lucinda to the opening party at the Museum of Neon Art this evening. We met Alethia and her mom there so that the two girls could play. They looked at all the neon artworks, had some cookies, and then went outside to run around.

Lucinda and Mommy went to the L.A. Zoo today. They spent the afternoon there.

Lucinda had a sleep-over at Aunt Maggi’s house this weekend. On the way down on Saturday, we went to Irvine Regional Park in Orange. We went through the little zoo there and Lucinda spent some time climbing on a fallen tree. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa came over the Aunt Maggi’s house. They all went to the park and fed the ducks.

Lucinda started gymnastics classes again today. Maybe now she can learn to do a cartwheel like she’s been talking about for some time.

Lucinda’s fourth birthday party was today. She invited all the kids from her preschool. We had a house full of screaming kids. It was quite an experience.
